Opinion on a head turner good looking 7 Seater MPV Renault Triber, which somehow seems few customers did not consider during their buying decision
The price point it comes and the features this car provides is amazing and worth considering.
With this offering Renault India has brought for us a very practical and thoughtful car.
Could be because of few initial customer comments or opinions this MPV is not being considered in their wishlist. We still feel that if customers take a test drive of this car will definitely change their point of view of this MPV
More to it this MPV comes at a price point which is worth considering, Manual variant comes at around 6.5L to 8.5L and AMT variant comes at around 7L to 9L on road price approximately.
It comes equipped with dual VVT energy engine – The new Renault Triber’s peppy 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol energy engine generates 72 PS with 96 Nm torque and available in 5-speed manual transmission as well as 5-Speed EASY-R AMT that delivers an effortless and comfortable drive.
Features loaded in Triber includes,
20.32 cm touchscreen mediaNAV evolution
steering mounted audio & phone controls
LED instrument cluster
smart access card
push start-stop button
projector headlamps with LED DRLs
6 Way Adjustable Driver Seat
Cooled Storage in Centre Console
4 Airbags
High ground Clearance (182 MM)
One the few highlights one can’t ignore is Triber can be turned into a two-seater, four seater, five-seater, six-seater or even a seven-seater vehicle and Second and third-row AC vents with fan speed control.
We liked the manual variant more as the experience seemed more better to our driving preferences. AMT variant is still better, especially on city environment.
Triber seems to be a complete package for customers who really don’t want performance vehicle and would be more happy driving peacefully and also need a car which is safe for their family yet practical while long route travels.
Safety point of view, at this price point Renault has provided 4 airbags for front driver and co driver and more importantly has scored 4 star safety rating in Global NCAP.
About boot space, yes the boot space is very less when the last row seats are in use. Then too just think how many times are we really going to utilise all 7 seats. But one point to note is at this price point here are many hatchback cars available which are 5 seaters cars. So concluding this, if you use Triber as a 5 seater vehicle you will be left with an ample of boot space at offer.
Our opinion is somewhere Triber 7-seater MPV should not be directly compared with Ertiga, though Ertiga is a fantastic offering in its own way, but with Triber the pricing and offering makes it a very unique and practical offering to customers who are especially looking for a 7 seater MPV but at budget price.
Whether to consider buying this vehicle, important point about after sales network of Renault india, since now the company has completed more than 10 years in India with a fair enough presence in major cities, if the Renault service centre is at a comfortable distance form your home or office, then we think it’s a very good decision to buy Renault Triber.
Variant wise we would recommend buying the RXZ variant, also because it offers tyre size 185/65 R15 which would better for highway and long route journey.
